Oops. Forgot the [profile] radixlecti was off work tomorrow, so can't email him re plans for Tuesday. Oh well - it'll have to wait until next week, and hopefully he's off to forget his woes at Compulsion tomorrow night :) Good luck to [personal profile] ninneviane too, 'cos I know how much hard work she's put into the event...

Did a little retail therapy on splash.com today, after a long and complex procedure to sort out my online banking. Not sure why I left Steph in charge of that - someone with little or no short term memory is a bad person to pick passwords, memorable information and other vital info to get you into your money :P Back to the point, I was hovering indecisively over the first series of South Park on DVD when I noticed that they also had Picnic at Hanging Rock for £5.99. Which is a top film that I'd recommend to anyone, and the deciding factor in my spending of cash. Looking forward to that.

Mostly an uneventful day, except for having lunch with a friend that gave me a really nice compliment. That really made my day :) Must go shower, water plants and do some OU work. Maybe even treat myself to a glass of wine.

I've just watched the Hampton Court Flower Show coverage on BBC2 in the company of some Pimms. :-)

Sounds lovely :) For probably obvious reasons, I used to be a bit uptight about drinking. Now I realised that I don't have a problem if I'm just enjoying an evening pottering around my study with a glass of red wine and summer flooding in through the windows :)

PS. love that icon!

You and me both. I went through a period when I was partying heavily at uni and got worried so I decided that I was going to be a vegetarian for a year. For me part of being a vegetarian was not drinking alcohol. Not sure if the "vegetarian" smokescreen was there to fool myself or others or both. But I was a vegetarian for a year and staid a tee-totaller for a couple of years. To this day I have absolutely no problem having a good time without alcohol.

Thanks, it turned out real well. I'm a bit baffled because of where I found it.

Heheh - me too. All the time though, I managed to find some excuse not to drink much, even though I was doing plenty of other stuff that was probably worse! I always managed to juggle half a pint of cider all night in a convincing fashion. These days I don't need anything except a strong cup of coffee to have fun, but getting over the psychological barrier of being able to enjoy the odd drink was a good step forward for me :)

Where did you find the icon?
