Hi there, excuse me for randomly posting in your LJ, but I have just set up a new community for UK-based gardeners and I was wondering if you'd like to join? It's at uk_gardening and you're the first person I have found to ask! :-) I've no idea if it'll be any help to anyone, but hopefully it will.

Alas - someone I invited to join the community pointed out that there's already an LJ community called english_garden and slapped my bum for breaking LJ etiquette. Apparently, politely asking UK-based people (with "garden design" listed as an interest, who have public journals which allow the public to post comments in them) if they would like to join is a no-no. So I deleted the community :( HOWEVER someone else was really enthusisatic and so we're going to start up a UK based organic gardening community instead. Would you be interested in that?
And - thanks for friending me!!! I might have got myself a spanking by a scary middle-aged lady but I have found some fab new people so it's all worked out well in the end :D Quirkafleegs = Jet Set Willy, for me :)
