I discovered the macro button on my digital camera on my last trip & took loads of pics of flowers, leaves & acorns using it!

Do you use a digital? I find that it doesn't pick up blues & purples very well... the colours are pretty but not close to the actual colour... it's frustrating when the flower is deep purple but it comes out looking blue... is it a common problem? Of course it's not a super sophisticated SLR or anything!

I use a digital SLR now, but some of my old pics are taken either with a film camera or a very basic digital camera. One thing you could try doing is seeing if you have a setting on the camera that allows you to change the type of ambient lighting - that can make quite a difference to certain colours.
