Plastic fanaticism
I have throwing away plastic carrier bags. Not enough to re-use them, generally, as huge piles of bags will testify, but enough to have a morbid fear of binning them. As, again, huge piles of bags will testify.
My little foible is starting to extend to plastics in general. There is so much of the damn stuff around - every little thing has some plastic spandangle associated with it. All of which go in the bin - plastic forks, spent biros, bottle caps.
Re-cycling facilities here are worse than useless. The stuff'll be her for thousands of years :(
On the bright side, when we flood the world with the global warming stemming from the production of all these plastics, we'll have a nice raft of floaty plastic crap to sail around on.
In other news, I went out and had iced coffee at lunchtime. The sun is shining.
But yes, it was in a plastic container :/

Meh.... Could be worse....
Hey, maybe that's the secret. If we flood the world, all the stuff we can't figure out how to get rid of will float at the top, where it can be scooped up and shipped to the moon to be used as building materials for a lunar base!
Eventually we'll change the mass of the moon enough and it will lose it's orbit, either flying off into deep space, or crashing down to kill us all!
Hrmmm... Might have been a good idea to get more than 4 hours sleep, eh....

Also the amount of fresh soup packaging that I keep as handy tubs and the plastic lidded chinese takeaway containers that we have kept over the years are currently overflowing a whole big shelf in our kitchen...we've started giving them away!! Its blinkin scary how much we rely on packaging and I'm constantly amazed at the amount of produce packaging there is - everything seems double wrapped these days...why is that?? Oh dear...there I go again! I'm on a rant mission today!
It is a beautiful day!! :D

They're evil, aren't they? I'm sure the foil containers were far better for recycling/
