House maintenance

I need to clean the bloody windows more often - they're filthy! So a quick whizz over every couple of months is going to be easier than scraping off 5 years worth of dirt, right?

I took a duvet day today. Didn't get a lot of sleep, and my mood is slump-tastic :( Roll on the Spring - at least today has been quite perky weather-wise.

I'm having a duvet day today too!

Good for you :)

I have a special duvet that I store behind the sofa in my front room for those duvet-essential moments (of which I have many). And one of the very best things about winter is that you can hide under a duvet all evening and no-one bats an eyelid!! :) *happy sigh*

I believe in it. As much as I like visiting my parents, I cringe at the colour of the sky where they are.

I also have a miniature duvet with snow guys on it (lap sized, down filled) I got last year, and love. I convinced my mum to get one, she liked it, gave it to my grandmother, whose cat took it over, and I've had to order other ones for family since. It's odd how popular blankets can get.

Get knackered and ill, and you can have one ;)

My previous job allowed duvet days, I miss them. Still, I get working-from-home days instead, and I get one of them most weeks, rather than five a year (my previous duvet day allocation). So I guess it works out ok...

Spring is nice, but you've chosen a decent day to be out of the office - the sun is shining and the air is fresh!

Working from home is great, but I seem to be the one person in my office who isn't allowed to :/ Hence the duvet day - if I could have worked from home, I would have. As I'm not allowed, I'm not going to crawl in when I feel shitty.

Every day is a duvet day for me! lol...

As for the windows, just never clean them and buy new ones every 5 years, yeah?

LOL - tempting!

I'm slowly introducing my manager to the concept of me appearing in the office less and less. Seems to be working so far...
