Swimming

Swam 30 lengths, and did an unprecedented 10 length run in front crawl, which I'm normally crap at. Guess practice makes perfect.

Ben went to the pool yesterday :)

Yes please. elle@newfruit - I think you have it already from the girly weekend. Do you want a gazillion bibs & babygros & baby spoons ( I know, not yet but soon he will be eating). *laughs* Or anything, in fact. I think I have a boxed bumbo you could have. It was very cool. I was going to flog it on e-bay so it's probably in the cupboard under the stairs. I'd far rather give it to someone who'd use it. It's purple.

**yay**

Go you...a 10 length run in front crawl is no mean feat and I know how hard you've found it in the past so well done you! :)

Thanks, babe. I was hoping to get the hang of it so I could go a bit faster - can't work out how to speed up breaststroke.

Just do what you're doing, but quicker ;p

No but seriously, it is that but also lengthening the body further during stretch part of the stroke, and really tucking the head down as you enter the water. That's what works for me anyway...I suspect everyone's got their own way of doing it however. The more streamline the shapes (that you make with your body while you're swimming) the smoother you'll move through the water and the easier it is to speed things up. It's def more tricky when there's more water resistance.
