Spent yesterday in Lyme Regis, and definitely felt the therapeutic value of the sea. Spent so long meditating on waves that I got a sunburned right arm and nose *ouch*. Met some strange people - one guy who owns the little bookshop right on the cobb (where evil goblins forced me to spend 20 squids on paperbacks *grin*) is selling up his bookshop by the sea to move to Cambridge and become a priest. Tolerant Hannah says it takes all sorts, rational Hannah says what a fookin nutter! That's my dream job - sun, sea, icecream, books. Can't imagine giving that up to be a religious type... Oh well :)
Also bought a slush puppy from a strange hawaiian shop owned by a yokel in a big straw hat. Very strange :) Took photos and pottered around in the Undercliff (a strange wild landslip, which is a bit like a rainforest). Got followed by weird posh types yapping about their friends and how good they's be at the dinner table, then Steph did a diversionary tactic into a path full of mud and nettles where they dared not follow :D
And vaguely linking back to the them of books:
To find out how many you have read go to Book Quiz
Oooh - I'm so smart :P Talking of which, got my OU essay back from my tutor with a mark of 80! Confimrs my thought that the less time I spend on my essays, the better marks I get. As usual, he wibbles on about how I have too many ideas, and wants to talk to me about doing the advanced course for a Masters Degree. Eep!
