Review Bonanza
Nov. 9th, 2004 10:00 amOpen Water: This was actually a great film, despite a slow start. It's a kind of low budget movie about being lost at sea, and has an unusual ending. The soundtrack is great too, and I really enjoyed it.
The Village: Another film with a fairly surprising ending. Or perhaps I'm just a sucker who doesn't see things coming. Anyway - good, quite spooky, probably best left for pay-per-view though.
Into the Silent Land: this book was great. I can't rave about it enough, and I just got my only copy. It's a series of "short stories", but also quite factual, about how the brain works, both physically and philosophically. In short, it's a well-written science book, which is something worth reading even if you're not particularly interested in neuropsychology.
Hero: absolutely beautiful martial arts film with a nice "epic" feel to it. You've probably read all about it already, and if not, just go and see it. If nothing else, it's stunningly pretty.
Run Lola Run: fun film, with lots of alternate endings and a great soundtrack. Lola also had nice hair :)
OK - that's it :P
