Why are EBay sellers so frickin' needy? They all want feedback about three days after the purchase. Or you have to leave feedback before they will. Not that I actually care, because I have enough good feedback, but if I paid about 10 minutes after the auction closed, then you should just give me feedback regardless.

Hrmph.

In good news, my house has finally become sane. It looks beautiful. You can no longer see the contents of my cupboards.

Obviously I'm even more knackered than I was yesterday. Rah for holiday...

Highlights of yesterday include:

  • dragging 6 stone of fitting alcoholic about quarter of a mile through hospital grounds while everyone stared and/or snickered. They obviously didn't stare long enough to take in the 6.5 month pregnancy bump, then.
  • Listening to my mum swear and cuss at me, and threaten to call my dad to get her out of hospital because he actually cares and he won't let her stay in such a horrible place. For more recent viewers benefit, my dad's been dead nearly 4 years.
  • Reassuring my nan that my mum was safe in hospital, only to hear her say that it was a horrible hospital and we should try and get mum out of there ASAP.

not all eBay sellers are like that (myself included), i do like feedback to be posted by a buyer eventually as i proves that i'm doing my job properly! Also as a seller i won't leave feedback before the buyers does because i don't want to get 'done'. Once a seller leaves positive feedback a buyer could easily either a)leave negative feedback for no reason or b) suddenly pretend they never recieved the item/say its broken and demand money from you with the threat of negative feedback! It does happen!

Ahh - I'm too trusting. I just leave feedback as soon as I remember, and assume everyone else will do the same. I guess I just don't appreciate being hassled for feedback by someone who hasn't yet fed back to me.

[livejournal.com profile] quercus says he doesn't know how busy you two are - I was going to invite you for tea some time, so waht are you doing around Easter?

Thanks - it's hard to know how bad it is without some direct experience. Most people just go "ahhh - she's a stubborn one, isn't she?". Or wibble on about her personal choice, while ignoring the fact that my personal choice yesterday was to blow off work and go through that, or to leave my mum fitting on her liounge floor with a broken ankle bone.

I'm really sorry about your dad, too.

As a seller I leave positive feedback straight away - seems only fair if people pay within the time I ask them too :) It narks me the way some sellers hold back to under the guise 'I will leave feedback for you when I know you are happy with your item/s' when really what they mean is 'I'm going to wait and see if you're trouble and to see what you say about me, and then tailor my feedback accordingly'...**grrrr**...very annoying and not how it should work at all. And as I buyer I always leave feedback straight away more or less, and I don't leave negative feedback even if it wasn't a perfect transaction unless they are a complete twunt, like the guy I bought a Dictaphone off before Xmas - he was something else all together he really was!

In good news, my house has finally become sane.
**yay** :D

And as for the highlights of yesterday...**hugs**...that sounds awful babe, really awful :( You can ring ANY TIME if you want to vent and stuff **more hugs**

Aww - thanks. I'll give you a call when I'm back from holiday. I'm just going to go on that and pretend she doesn't exist for a few days, as I know she's safe.

So glad about the house too - there are a few little things left to do, but I've been SO well behaved and non-OCD about it ;)

Stuff with your mom sounds horrendous.
Hurrah for staying sane through it.
I'm not sure I would.

couldn't agree more... I paid as soon as I got an invoice... told them I'd leave feedback as soon as the item arrived & they've sent me a "feedback reminder". As far as I can tell there's nothing for me to say until the item arrives whereas they could leave feedback for me saying whether I'm a promt payer or not **hmpf**

Bashtads.

Just out of interest - how did you find my journal? I'm not precious about these sort of things, but I just couldn't see where you'd come from at all :)

& you!

Like the pic! I had a mare once who's ears were big enough she should have been a mule! Ariel (in pic) has much more normal sized ears :)

Big fan of donkeys - particularly their ears, and the stripes on their backs. That's a cute horse, though :)
