That's probably the first 24 hours without caffeine in 20 years. Much much less of a period drinking alcohol so not so notable. I don't really feel that pure - more tired and headachey.

i've cut down on my mt. dews this week and can't do it cold-turkey, the migraine-like headaches were kicking my butt. but i'm weaning and hopefully, in a couple of weeks i'll be caffeine free without feeling so tired.

good luck hun! :)

Caffeine's a rather insidious drug, I believe it takes about three weeks to clear yourself of it. IMO it's worth doing, though - though I now have a cup of tea or coffee once a week (and really appreciate it), plus chocolate.

I gave up caffeine for 3 months in 2001...I have to say, the experience wasn't anything I'd bother to repeat again :) I didn't feel better for it, in fact I felt no different at all, and decaffeinated tea and coffee are pretty pants...like diet pepsi is to full fat pepsi. So I started drinking stuff with caffeine in again...didn't feel any better for it, didn't feel any worse. Not to say that I'm not addicted to caffeine these days, as the amount of red bull i drink will testify, but I've never noticed any ill effects (headaches etc) when I haven't had any caffeine at all.
