These things are like the mass spam forwards of the livejournal world. ;P

Yeah - it's probably just the maths-geek in me talking, but I've always wanted to track the spread of them :P There used to be quite a neat algorithm that found the LJ users most similar to you in interest, but I can't find it any more :/

Heh - I had to go and Google that one - the god of blame and mockery?

Damn, that would be very cool. That's one thing that's lacking on lj, I'm sure there's lots of people to be found that would match my interests really well, more than anywhere else on the net. Unfortunately, finding them is impossible, as the search only lets you find based on _one_ interest. :/

hehee, yeah, he's the one the gods assigned to find faults in everything that was created. it's a bit different than mockery and blame, though because it's not done out of malice, more like that's just his job.

it was mainly meant as self deprecation though.

Yeah - I picked up a couple of my LJ acquaintances that way. If I remember, maybe I'll email LJ-help about it and see where they hid it! :)

Ah - as the person who always finds the undocumented and unheard-of bug in every bit of software, I can identify. Thanks for the info :)

Nah - thanks for the info, but that wasn't the one I was thinking of. There was a link on the LJ site somewhere that took you to a list of people who matched your interests, with a weighting for unusual interets.
