I did all right last year:

- running: pretty much got my 10 minute miles
- knitting: did the fingerless gloves :)
- garden: check!
- weight loss: 6lbs out, but hey - I lost about 2 stone so what the hell :)
- yoga: could improve
- RHS: nearly there
- career: job came along, and gardening increased. Double check :)
- singing course: didn't happen, because the course wasn't there
- spam: killed a load

I'm not doing goals this year. That's not the way I want to focus my energies any more - I want to steer away from non-specific sticks to beat myself with, and go more for monthly themes for my attention. Will post those some time soon!

I do however have a list of concrete things I'd like to do:

DJ course
Ski taster session
Krav Maga short course
gun shooting
survival skills course
Hestercombe's Qigong and meditation sessions
Ballooning
gliding
Yoga retreat
Go to Harlech on the train

These may or may not happen, but it's nice to have dreams. Should anyone feel moved by these, give me a shout as that'll give me incentive to actually shift my gearstick.

Harlech, and that whole coast railway, are lovely. Great big hill to walk up though! Even though we were rained and blown out in the end, I'd go back to stay in either Harlech, Machynlleth or even Aberystwyth. Not Towyn though.

Def would like to fire a gun cos I never had. Also planning on going gliding - probably one evening after work once it's summer.

Harlech....used to be like a second home to me..... I love it there...I have been there on the train loads of times....I think the only thing you need to watch is..the train splits in Shrewsbury (I think) and the front half goes one way and the back half the other

what type of gun?
are we talking firearms like pistols or rifle; or air weapons?

cos if it's the former, just let me know where to sign :)

*grin*

I've got my heart set on Harlech, even with the hill. Would like to do the NW coast of Scotland by train at some point too.

Do/did you like Prague? They have proper guns there.

I'll let you know about the gliding - there's a lovely club near where I used to live that does taster session. I only wish I'd been more organised when I lived there!

That's good to know in advance - thanks! Last time I stopped at a short-platform station, I ended up walking along the side of the track, so a train that splits would definitely be a bad thing!

Proper guns that go bang, hon. And yes, I will.
