Someone in our IT department checked the wrong box, and all our computers shut down for security updates. *cackle*. You'd think from the fuss that the four horses of the apocalypse were doing stunts in the aisle.

I decided after watching Paradise Lost yesterday that I quite fancy some wings. Actual real implanted wings that work, rather than clip-ons ;) Only problem is choosing between fluffy angel wings and evil bat wings. On the other hand a tattoo would sit more comfortably under my t-shirt :)

Ahh, the joys of the management by panic approach :)

We had a power cut yesterday, to much the same effect (the UPS & back up generators didn't kick in quite as reliably as they should have, and don't necessarily cover every thing, it seems..).

Bat wings. Go for the Erinyes look :D

Eep, more wings...

My cousin actually had the outline of the bat symbol tattooed across his back. Ex got a custom tattoo that had some nifty wings in the small of her back. Brother has birds in quite a few places on his body (he'd be considered walking art).

Personally I plan on eventually (within the next couple years hopefully) of getting a tattoo of a cobra with its fangs sunk into the world on my shoulder blade, but don't feel like pricing and trying to find someone who can do the artwork.

Could always do an anaconda swallowing the world, too!

No anaconda! King Cobra or a rattlesnake!

Heym out of curiosity do you remember whether its the coral or king snake that's poisonous, I can never remember...

Heheh. I didn't mind too much - these things happen - but several of my colleagues looked like they were about to take off without the aid of wings!

Hmm. Bat wings would be the better choice of prosthetic (more compact), but I think angel wings for a tattoo...

Four's impressive! Heh, especially at HEFCE ;) I've got one, and I'm dallying with the idea of another. But you're right, that one would hurt.

Yeah - that would be very neat. But damn painful, too! I'm torn between something large and impressive, or another small one somewhere. Meh. I'll probably never decide...

Hmmm... the small of the back sounds promising. I don't know if I can cope with having it done across my shoulders. And yeah - it's a hassle. Took me about 7 years to decide on mine. Then I had to wait to find a tattooist who did something I wanted AND had a good reputation. And unfortunately, the only good ones I know are in England :(

Wow - that's very neat! I was thinking of a little trapeze/gyrocopter crossover, but that would be far more impressive. They could make little flying-hats out of them.

That's why I'm working on the steel-clawed killer robo-mecha-bat.

Damn straight!

The bigger problem is it's hard to tell the difference between the King snake and the Coral snake. One could kill you, and one isn't venomous at all. Very similar color patterns (the whole red and yellow, etc. can never remember it).

Snake colour coding

"Red on yellow kill a fellow,
Red on black, OK Jack"

The arrangement of the colour bands is the giveaway (and reliable too). They're all red, yellow and black banded, but the ordering varies. If the red and yellow bands touch, then be careful.

Heheh - thanks. That did spring to mind, but then I read it in a Freak Brothers (http://www.freaknet.org.uk/pages/home01.html) comic, so I was sceptical!

**yay**

Wings, yes real wings as opposed to clip on wings or the sort that no-one else can see...even though they give you cramp **giggles**

Real wings would be cool...I'd have huge feathery ones myself, though Hmmm, evil bat wings...**ponders**...oh my, what a dilemma! :D

A tattoo would be very cool too though...

Heh, good to know, but I'll forget it. Doesn't matter, I run screaming like a schoolgirl anytime I see a snake, no matter what kind it is.

I know its irrational, but that's why it's a phobia.

Yeah - exactly! Then, just now, I thought of dragon wings too. Or fish fins. I'd never choose - the tattoo is a far better plan.
