Started doing book reviews so that when I get to the end of the year, I feel I read something. This will be the year I get my book mojo back on :)
This book was very enjoyable, like the Ukrainian Tractors one, but didn't really have any substance. I think it was trying to be hard hitting to some extent - it was dedicated to the Morecambe Bay cockle pickers - but I didn't learn anything new, and for most of the characters in the story, at least, it all turned out for the best. Which is not a fault in the book, but is a bit disconcerting at times. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it :)
