Meh. Best update before another week nearly disappears. Brief, brief update of a rollercoaster week. Went on a course to teach me influencing and persuasion skills. Mostly so that I can help with the pay negotiations this year, but it still was a damn fine course that made me think. There were some curry and beer shennanigans with a mate from work too. Oh, and I swam a kilometre non-stop at the pool in London :D

In short, the moral of that couple of days was never swim 1km after only eating a sandwich, and certainly never follow that with strong beer :)

Ehm. *looks momentarily shifty*

Friday was spent catching up at work. Ate sushi at least once a day every day this week :)

Saturday was spent doing crappy family stuff, with partying in the evening. The family stuff was, as I said before, crappy. The party was good though :)

Sunday was a grown-up day, with people invited around for lunch. Very grown-up, very enjoyable. Any space left over was devoted to playing Final Fantasy, and wishing I was getting more sleep...

Yup - that sort of thing winds me up too. I'd love to be able to regularly fall asleep by accident. Plus people who "know exactly what you mean" when you mention sleeping problems. Turns out they generally get about 6 hours now and then, when they're particularly stressed.

*grr*

Ohh, that is kinda annoying. I get 5 nightly (albeit by choice) and if I'm stressed out I get maybe 2 or 3.

Then again last night I went to sleep at 8 pm last night (meaning to get an hour long nap), woke up at midnight for 30 minutes, then went back to sleep for another 5.5 hours. Wish I could still be sleeping. For some reason I'm completely exhausted lately.

Ugh. Couldn't manage on 5, not every day. I need about 6 or 7, but it gets quite erratic. I'm trying to be a bit more laid back about it, so I can just catch up at the weekends :)

Heh, for the most part if I sleep for more than 5.5 hours straight I get a big headache and am tired the rest of the day. Even if I'm going to sleep for more than that I need to wake up at 5 hours to smoke, get a drink, walk around for a couple minutes, then go back to sleep.

I think I got that from my mom (particularly the smoking, but that's ok).
