whoo - five hours on the train and still going. could have nearly flown to new york by now, although the countryside around durham is very pretty. just munched sushi and salad for tea, and had one of those perfect moments of extra-temporal beauty. i squished my little bottle of soy sauce, and the spray just hung there, fanned out as sparkling brown aerosol. and i honestly could not say how long i watched it, suspended in the moment.

the sun's starting to go down. i think my station's coming up...

The 18 hour run from Moscow to St. Petersburg - owch. Owch?? OWCH!!! I wouldn't sentence that on an archenemy.

Yeah - add a couple of screaming brats to that and a heavy smoker deprived of their fix, and there's probably no higher level of torture you could inflict on someone.
