Spent yesterday and today hiking along the Dorset coast. I've always wanted to walk along the Undercliff from Seaton to Lyme Regis, so this was *the* weekend. It's about 7+ miles, quite stiff walking (especially with a backpack). Not quite sure why they couldn't have filled some of those ups and downs in, really :)

Got some good photos of a barley field and a bank of flints. Hopefully I'll get around to putting them on my website, but considering there are loads on my hard drive that have been there since January...

The Undercliff was beautiful - cool, green and dappled with sunshine. It's full of architectural oddities, mostly, it seems, plumbing related. There were lots of rhodedendrons (?), and after curry and a pint for tea, I took a snooze in a bluebell wood :) Walked on about another 5 miles, then camped.

[note to self that investing 20p in a shower is well worth it]

Woke up around 5:30 and pondered the meaning of life. Actually I mainly thought my feet were cold, I wanted a pee and where the fuck did all those birds come from?!? I did think though, about the stuff I put in my last post. About how I seemed to have lost my innocence somewhere along the line. I wish I could have stayed a kid really :) Instead I just stopped believing in things that made life better - magic, best friends, happiness, flying... :) I lost some of my fear too, but now I want my innocence back. Don't see why I can't have that...

Oh, and just to make it clear that I don't always think about anything useful, I also did some random fretting :P I think the next few days are going to be a bit hectic, so that was on my mind. No big deal, though :)

Walked back the same path, but pretty briskly. Did contemplate swimming in the sea, but got up to my knees when the freezing water started bringing tears to my eyes :P

Came home. The End :)
