I am SO bored. And boredom makes me gloomy and introspective.

Damn. The only thing to lift me out of the feeling that my life is completely pointless is a pointless

ANGER
1. Who did you last get angry with? Someone at work
2. What is your weapon of choice? Sarcasm. Mostly of the deadpan variety.
3. Would you hit a member of the opposite sex? Nope.
4. How about of the same sex? Nope.
(in both cases, maybe if I became really pissed off)
5. Who was the last person who got really angry at you? Probably my dad. Shows how often people get angry at me really. Apparently I'm quite forbidding. heheh.
6. What is your pet peeve? Idiots who can't see any other point of view.
7. Do you keep grudges, or can you let them go easily? I find it easy to forgive, but occasionally I don't forget. I don't hold a grudge, so much as remain excessively wary.

SLOTH
1. What is one thing you're supposed to do daily that you haven't done in a long time? I don't get this question actually. The "supposed to do" bit confuses me. There's quite a lot of stuff that I guess I'm supposed to do that I really can't be arsed with.
2. What is the latest you've ever woken up? about tea-time, probably.
3. Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't? A friend from university.
4. What is the last lame excuse you made? "I don't want to". Not really a lame excuse, but nice and blunt.
5. Have you ever watched an infomercial all the way through? No. I've watched some quite bad TV during bouts of insomnia though. Or is an infomercial an article on earrings that you get on the shopping channel?
6. When was the last time you got a good workout in? Wednesday.
7. How many times did you hit the snooze button on your alarm clock today? Three. Some things are just inviolable routine.

GLUTTONY
1. What is your overpriced yuppie beverage of choice? Absinthe. For the cool factor :P Yuppie = *shudder*
2. What is the greatest amount of alcohol you've had in one sitting/outing/event? I have an unfortunate tendency not to keep count, but I rarely drink spirits, so I'm kind of self-limiting.
3. Have you ever used a professional diet company? No.
4. Do you have an issue with your weight? Not any more. Could do with losing half a stone, but no hurry.
5. Do you prefer sweets, salty foods, or spicy foods? Spicy.
6. Have you ever looked at a small housepet or child and thought food? Not really. Although I have looked at the occasional small houseplant with intent to consume ;)

LUST
1. How many people have you seen naked (not counting movies/family)? 3
2. How many people have seen YOU naked (not counting physicians/family)? 3
(OK, I'm unashamedly innocent :P And I'm assuming it means in some way significant nudity)
3. Have you ever caught yourself staring at the chest/crotch of a member of your gender of choice during a normal conversation? Chest, yeah. I'm kind of short ;) Mostly those specific areas don't do much for me :)
4. Have you "done it"? wtf?!?
5. What is your favorite body part on a person of your gender of choice? I just don't get questions like this. It's too waffly and PC. And the strangest body parts can really be quite sexy. So I'm going to say their brain.
6. Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute? No.
7. Have you ever had to get tested for an STD or pregnancy? No.

GREED
1. How many credit cards do you own? 0

3. If you had $1 million, what would you do with it? Use it to take a break from work, put myself in a new life, and help people out.
4. Would you rather be rich, or famous? Neither. But if forced, definitely rich.
5. Would you accept a boring job if it meant you would make megabucks? No.
6. Have you ever stolen anything? Yes, if you mean anything ever. No, if you mean it as a sensible, post-adult question.
7. How many MP3s are on your hard drive? Fuck loads. See above.

PRIDE
1. What one thing have you done that you're most proud of? Not died.
2. What one thing have you done that your parents are most proud of? No idea. We never had that sort of relationship :/
3. What thing would you like to accomplish in your life? Happy clarity.
4. Do you get annoyed by coming in second place? Yeah, occasionally. Only in emotional arenas.
5. Have you ever entered a contest of skill, knowing you were of much higher skill than all the other competitors? Yes.
6. Have you ever cheated on something to get a higher score? No.
7. What did you do today that you're proud of? Been happy.

ENVY
1. What item (or person) of your friends would you most want to have for your own? This quiz is becoming dumb. Friends don't work that way for me. But for the sake of argument, musical talent.
2. Who would you want to go on "Trading Spaces" with? Don't understand the question.
3. If you could be anyone else in the world, who would you be? The Comte de Saint Germaine.
4. Have you ever been cheated on? Don't know. Don't care. Depends on how you define the word "cheat".
5. Have you ever wished you had a physical feature different from your own? Actually, other than losing weight, not really.
6. What inborn trait do you see in others that you wish you had for yourself? Objectivity.
7. Do you wish you'd come up with this survey? No.

5. What was the last promise you broke? Probably something work-related.
6. Have you ever said the words to a prayer and not meant it? Yes. We were made to at school. Path of least resistance and all that. Love is a kind of faith. Have you ever said "I love you" and not meant it?
7. Do you believe that anyone could be perfect? In an absolute sense? No. Perfect for/to me? Yes.

HOPE
1. Did you get everything you wanted over the last holiday season? Yeah. Expect nothing, don't get disappointed. That's my motto, and in a good way, too! :)
2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? Heh - a bloody miracle in my private life? I'd actually quite like to carry on my life as it is now, thanks. I was just thinking that this morning *nods*
3. Do you let yourself get your hopes up for something even if you know that there is a large chance of failure? Yes. Deep down, inside, even if I am externally looking discouraged. People sway me a little, but I still hold internal faith.

All those questions just seemed like ego-fanning.

4. Which should be guaranteed legal? Some drugs. Maybe all.
5. Do you believe that Dubya is rightfully President of the USA? Who?
6. What was your favorite media circus trial? Huh?
7. Have you ever written a letter to a politician? Yes.

TEMPERANCE

2. Do you collect anything? Nope. Bad habits count?
3. Are you addicted to anything? Not really.
4. Have you ever put anything on layaway or used an installment plan? No.
5. What's your preferred method of paying for things? Swipe card thingy.
6. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do? Shag someone that turned out to be really annoying. It's not a mistake I've made often or feel like repeating.

1. Who is the wisest person you know? Depends on the situation. Different friends have different areas of expertise.

"one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do? Shag someone that turned out to be really annoying"

lol! I totally agree with both :D What a long quiz - I admire your diligence in filling it out! I would have given up after the seven major sins :p

Oh yeah - it _was_ long. It's been sat on my desktop at work for months, I think, being added to occasionally. It was only because I was feeling so drab on Friday that it got posted at all. One less file cluttering the place up!

And yes, the shagging someone really annoying turned out to be one of the worst things I've done, self-esteem-wise. Such an error of judgement *shakes head*

6. Have you ever looked at a small housepet or child and thought food?

That they would use that in the quiz under gluttony just makes me totally ROFL!

6. Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute?

LOL, I'm sure the ladies have this problem a lot.

3. If you had $1 million, what would you do with it? Use it to take a break from work

Heh just a break? :P I'd retire for life on a million. :D

4. Would you rather be rich, or famous?

It baffles me how anyone could ever want to be famous? I just don't get it. I guess if I were wired differently I would get it, and would want to be famous, so "oh well".

6. Have you ever cheated on something to get a higher score? No.

Wow. I can't remember ever cheating in school, but I can't imagine that I didn't (whee double negative).

6. What inborn trait do you see in others that you wish you had for yourself? Objectivity.

Is there such a thing as someone who is objective?

4. What area are you wisest in? Someone tell me... Please... You'll be saving me from the life of an anonymous polymath.

Hmm perhaps polymath = wisest at empathy?

It baffles me too. The only reason I could think of is that some insecure people want the adoration of millions because they don't think they can win the true love of one (or several, if you count friends besides lovers), and they for some reason consider it an acceptable substitute. I'm too paranoid to want fame though; I wouldn't want enemies as well as adoring fans.

I'd just hate the attention. Just about any sort of individual attention makes me blush and cringe :) It's possibly insecurity, or maybe just rampant extraversion.

Hmm...I said famous because I have no real desire to be rich, but I meant it more in a "Being recognised for one's achievements" kind of way - writing a novel or album that really moves people, that kind of thing. Posh & Becks style fame is something I would find abhorrent.

Mmm. That sort of famous sounds more appealing. I don't like being totally unrecognised, I have to admit.

Posh & Becks... I did a little research and I'm not sure I figured it out. I first thought it was a company name. :P Is it a soccer player and his wife, one of the spice girls?

yes - that's right.

Yes, I was indeed referring to David Beckham and his wife Victoria, aka Posh Spice. Sorry, I forgot that people in some parts of the world are lucky enough to have avoided hearing about them twelve times a day.

LOL, I'm sure the ladies have this problem a lot.

*grin* I can comprehensively say that has never happened to me. Thank god :) My friend has a funny story about an over-enthusiastic prostitute, some slippers and an angry pimp that really should get posted one day...

Heh just a break? :P I'd retire for life on a million. :D

Yeah - I'd probably end up never going back. I like to kid myself that I'd do charity work, or some other useful task, but I'm essentially sloth-ful ;)

Is there such a thing as someone who is objective?

Hmm. Maybe I'll revise that answer to "confidence in my own objectivity" :)

Hmm perhaps polymath = wisest at empathy?

*wide grin* Thanks. That makes sense - I empathise to the point of pain at times :/ And wisest at drawing connections too, while I'm being positive :)
