West coast is lovely.
South West (below Galway) is a bit too touristy, but there's the piece around Clews Bay and Westport^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H (sorry, can't tell you - tourists might find it) that's just perfect.
Mayo is grim and grey - like a rustic Manchester.
I think it's almost worth getting a motorbike, just to go motorbike touring around the West.
Don't miss the Arran islands either - Incredible stone forts, still almost perfect condition.
