The weekend in 10 bullet points:
Jun. 20th, 2004 09:30 pm- Got my backlog of photos cleared and online. All the navigation icons are fucked, so sorry about that. I'll fix them soon :)
- I am so glad that Father's Day is come, gone and done with. It made me realise how much I really am not over some things in my life. And it's just gross commercialism.
- There were people preaching in Broadmead. And they didn't come and hassle me with leaflets, so I couldn't argue with them :(
- Finally got an idea sorted for my Homer essay, which means I can write the plan. OK, anyone know how to write an essay plan? I've never done it before...
- My Homer essay has nudged me into finally reading "Ulysses". Which is good on many levels - someone very cool is the only person I know to have read it, so that's a good excuse to pick their brains. And maybe encourage them to wear their James Joyce t-shirt more :)
- Cleaned the car up and sorted out the oil leak (hopefully).
- Got my head straight, kicked my ideals back into operation, and made my peace with those I love. Was surprised at which things I felt bad about.
- Watched a cool film, and it made me realise how much my clarity, my balance and my deep respect for those I love matters to me.
- Wrote up nearly all my various snippets of wibbling, and set up a proper writing folder and everything.
- Made an "unmissable" list for Toronto.
And just to crank it up to 11 - Eels. Eels, Eels, Eels.
*nods wisely in the face of madness*
