The weekend in 10 bullet points:
Jun. 20th, 2004 09:30 pm- Got my backlog of photos cleared and online. All the navigation icons are fucked, so sorry about that. I'll fix them soon :)
- I am so glad that Father's Day is come, gone and done with. It made me realise how much I really am not over some things in my life. And it's just gross commercialism.
- There were people preaching in Broadmead. And they didn't come and hassle me with leaflets, so I couldn't argue with them :(
- Finally got an idea sorted for my Homer essay, which means I can write the plan. OK, anyone know how to write an essay plan? I've never done it before...
- My Homer essay has nudged me into finally reading "Ulysses". Which is good on many levels - someone very cool is the only person I know to have read it, so that's a good excuse to pick their brains. And maybe encourage them to wear their James Joyce t-shirt more :)
- Cleaned the car up and sorted out the oil leak (hopefully).
- Got my head straight, kicked my ideals back into operation, and made my peace with those I love. Was surprised at which things I felt bad about.
- Watched a cool film, and it made me realise how much my clarity, my balance and my deep respect for those I love matters to me.
- Wrote up nearly all my various snippets of wibbling, and set up a proper writing folder and everything.
- Made an "unmissable" list for Toronto.
And just to crank it up to 11 - Eels. Eels, Eels, Eels.
*nods wisely in the face of madness*

Date: 2004-06-20 02:01 pm (UTC)LOL I'm sure you liked the "penalty for not shutting gate 2pounds" one! (Well, that is if it occured after the whole gate shutting debacle...)
This one just screams WTFF?? It's like an alien head...
For some reason looking at the pictures of London, my gut reaction is that it is begging to be destroyed Godzilla-style. Haha!
What is this? It looks like it's man-made, but isn't it just floating in water?
This one is so neat! I'd love for there to be more futuristic architecture like that around.

Date: 2004-09-19 09:18 am (UTC)1. is a money tree. People have hammered loads of coins edgewise into the bark, which has then grown back to hold them in firmly.
2. is a fish at the aquarium.
3. I think it IS manmade, but the tide came in or something.
4. yeah - I loved that.
Must get some of my huge backlog of photos online!!
