cybermuleWent to see "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" today, and to be honest, I don't think it was nearly as good as the original. It seems a bit less focused and a lot less stylish. I guess I just liked that the first one was pretty much all set in The Hive, whereas this one was scattered around Raccoon City. Which did at least look a lot like bits of the computer game.
The acting was quite bad in places. And yes, I know you don't go to see a movie like this for the characterisation, but you'd have thought they would have had a word with the doctor guy in the wheelchair. Maybe pointed out that his acting was terrible, replaced him or something :P On the other hand, Milla Jovovich kicks ass. I want to be her :))
And the Nemesis did wander around saying "stars". So true to the computer game again.
The second review is of Chicitos, the mexican place at Cribbs, which is pretty good for a chain. They do chilli poppers, lovely vegetable fajitas, which you get to mess about with, and veggie combos. So if you want a big heap of fried food before your cinema experience, that's where to go :)
