Jul. 20th, 2003 01:11 pmBlegh. Sitting here not looking forward to having to travel to Manchester tonight to give a talk tomorrow. Oh well - get this one over and done with and I only have to do London next week. Then it's all over and done with, and I will think up a suitable treat to reward myself :) So probably no more updates until Tuesday :)
Friday night was mostly spent idling around with the PC and mucho coffee. Did some webwork and burnt a few CDs for my brother, then ran out of blank CDs. Got up late on Saturday after idling around in bed with the first series of South Park on DVD, then headed down to Crewkerne for the afternoon. Bought two carrier bags full of books :D I just couldn't help myself as a lot of them were only £1 each and there was discount for bulk. So anyone heading past Crewkerne (unlikely, I know!) before the end of August might well want to drop in on the bookstore and load up on paperbacks.
Can't really say that there was much else about Crewkerne that took my fancy. Didn't even take my camera out of my bag, which is very rare :/ But the driving parts were nice, trundling down the A37 past the Mendips. Reminded me that a trip to Glastonbury for the day should be pencilled in for some point in the near future. Ate a delicious Oriental Buffet on the way home, then mimbled about for the rest of the evening.
I guess it's been a quiet weekend - I haven't got much planned for the rest of Sunday. Aargh - must do some shopping though...
