HASH(0x87971f4)
You are like the Goddess Kali. Kali is the Goddess
of time and of the transformation of death.
People use Kali for many purposes the good and
the bad. Kali's blackness symbolizes her all-
embracing, comprehensive nature, because black
is the color in which all other colors merge;
black absorbs and dissolves them. Which Kali
has the power of doing. Like her, you do the
same. You have a stong intensity between the
two (good and bad) You can go beyond all
quality and form or go all against it.

What Hindu God or Goddess are you like?

Having an OK day today, achieving many small niggling tasks at work. Surprising how much you can do by diverting procrastinatory energy into useful work :P

(edited to remove over-zealous double use of the word "useful". Over-caffeinated? Moi? Never!)

You probably got one of the more apt results that I've come across :)

Pantheism

Yea, I was happy with it, since I kind of consider myself an "artist".

Mmm - I tracked back through your profile to your website and looked at your pics. They were good - I especially liked "Mike Gordon" (?). I admire your talent, as I'm technically limited to photography. Do you do anything else, apart from draw?

Oh, you mean in the realm of visual arts? Mostly, just draw...with a #2 pencil, nothin fancy :o) I have painted a bit.

Otherwise my main passion is music. I play piano/keyboards, guitar, and bass. I do a lot of studying, eartraining, and I write songs as well as instrumental music.

That's about it. Though, I do hope to someday do more. I thought it'd be awesome to collaborate on a film someday with a friend or write a play. That kind of stuff. I love film.

I'm very much into artistic expression of all kinds. There seems to be a passion in artists (especially the "great" ones) that I admire.

Yes, I did mean in the realm of visual arts. Although I looked back at my comment and did think it was a little clumsy. What's eartraining?

I'm going to go to classes on drama production next year. I have all these ideas about writing films and plays, but I don't know if they're even slightly workable so I'm hoping these classes will be a chance to try ideas out.

Passion combined with creativity is admirable. I'd love to be able to have improved awareness, but also creative wisdom so that I wouldn't be burned out by the age of 35. At the moment I just manage to combine artistic temperament with scientific skills, shaking my fist at the sky and railing against the god of statistics :P

Ear straining

Eartraining, eartraining. You know, a lot of musicians don't even know what it is and, you know, that's such a shame! Hehe, eartraining is simply that - training the ear. Music is a hearing art, and a language as well. So, it serves the musician well to internalize and be able to recall all of the basic sounds of the musical language. It's like learning your musical times-tables or learning all about color and how different colors relate to eachother so you can use them more effectively in painting.

That's awesome bout the drama production classes. I hope you have fun and are inspired by it. I came up with a weird idea for a cartoon and drew 3 of the main characters for it. I have no idea what the main plot would be or how I'd ever even manage to finish a project like that, but I have a very clear conception of what the animation will look like and little details like that. I can only hope that someday ideas I have like that might come to fruition.

Sorry for the late reply - I seem to have been really spaced out and unproductive recently! Thanks for telling me about eartraining - I'd had it down more as aural exercise for somehow improving sensitivity to sound, but I guess that the internalisation links up with that recent post of yours on synesthesia. That was a neat piece of synchronicity, as it coincided with a piece of reading analogising mythology with music :)

Do you ever get around to turning any of your drawings into actual animations, or are they still at the concept stage?
