Jul. 13th, 2003 10:38 pmEnd of the weekend :( Bah! Plus, I won't be updating for a few days as I have to go on a work trip to Derby.
Anyway, the weekend that was...
Went to a party/BBQ on Saturday evening. It was OK, but I didn't know many of the people there. And one of them was quite drunk and aggressive towards my friend, which always makes me a bit edgy. But I'm proud of myself for handling it and I still had quite a good time, despite the uncomfortable company.
Today has been beltingly hot. Got up late after watching Buffy and having a bit of a stressful hour first thing. Pootled around the house tidying up a few last minute items while Steph got busy in the kitchen. He prepared a stunning spread: blinis with wild rice, sour cream and spring onions; grilled ciabatta with cherry tomatoes and rocket (there's an Italian name for that, which I forgot), and an orange and saffron tart. Also did a few chores in the garden - mainly weeding and watering. Then Mark and Liz came over for dinner, where we sat around in the garden drinking wine and boiling our heads in the sun :D Didn't realise how addled I'd become until
radixlecti phoned to make arrangements for Tuesday and I gibbered at him down the phone. Played some Zelda with Mark until they went home, then came upstairs to cool down and check my e-mail.
Not looking forward to going to Derby :(
