Thank god it's the weekend!

At quarter to four today I had a phonecall from Corp Comms about dispatching some documentation by the end of the day. During this phonecall, 6 emails arrived (adding to the 12 already in my inbox), 2 more calls were bounced off my busy extension and 3 people were shuffling around behind me, waiting to talk to me. At one point I was convinced that my head would explode and warm runny brains would splatter over the windows :P

On the bright side, it's Friday, and all things can be healed by consumption of good Chinese food. Mmmm. I'm going to the aboretum on Saturday, and on Sunday I get to meet up with a friend who's passing through on her way back to Devon. I'll sandwich that with some revision, then do revision/letters/gardening on Monday, then Tuesday is my exam day and Wednesday is back to the crazy world of work. As far as work goes, I need to be more assertive: that promotion needs to be finalised, and I want to go on a couple of training courses. Otherwise I think I'll be looking for a less stressful job.
