I seem to have been the only person ever who read this as a kid, and wasn't immediately offended by the Christian overtones. In fact, I didn't notice them at all.
Me too. I read the books as a kid, and it was only _many_ years later I heard them referred to as Xtian allegory or whatever, and I'm like 'huh?'.
