I had a course at work today involving role-playing interviews. Startlingly, one of the actors that came to do it was a guy I went to school with. I'm not sure who was most surprised.
Had a great evening last night - went for b'day+1week meal with my old flatmates, and had a yummy meal and a great catch-up session. Then went back to their place, and chilled out watching Family Guy. It was hilarious - I've borrowed the DVD - and introduced me to the excellent phrase, "eye-humping". Not sure where I'll use that in a daily context, but I'll try.
In fact, I've had a really good week, other than dealing with family.
Had a full body massage on Wednesday night, which was a great intro to my birthday. I've never had one before, and was entirely relaxed by the end of it. On the day itself, I woke up to fantastic presents, then went hiking in the Malverns. Don't go to the Pheasant pub near Castlemorton, as the food is grim, but do go on this walk:

I'd walk the last bit along the Malvern ridge, but other than that, it's a great walk. Interesting going back to Castlemorton 14 years later, when it was no longer a festival site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castlemorton_Common_Festival).
Thursday evening I got treated to an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet. Hic!
Friday was spent being productive in the garden - clearing mounds of waste, moving the greenhouse into place. It was a really nice feeling, to get control of it, to have plans for it again.
Saturday was also spent in DIY chores, and playing PS2 with my brother in the evening. Got given Shadow of Colossus, which rocks once you get the hang of it. Saw my mother unproductively on Sunday, and can't really remember what else I did in the day. Allotment stuff, mainly.
And on Monday, I went to a donkey sanctuary in Leicester to meet my sponsored donkey, Barnaby (http://www.manorfarm.info/adoptions/donkeys.html). Which was just the best day ever - I saw loads of donkeys, took loads of photos, then had a big cuddle with my own sponsee (?). Then I had curry.
Even work's not been too bad, and now it's Friday. Woohoo.
