I seem fated to never make it to the Forest of Dean. I almost made it there last weekedn, but got diverted by Raglan Castle. I've been to Clearwell Caves before, but never yet to Puzzle Wood's iron mines.

Handy diary.

I think I might be able to make Tewkesbury - are you going to promote it, or shall I mail you nearer the time? Clearwell Caves are good, especially around Christmas, but I've yet to make it into the opne Iron Mines. I'd heard tell there were ones that you didn't have to pay to get into, but I'm not sure.

The kids are going abroad with their Dad the thursday before the latter weekend, and to be honest I can even put into words the anxiety that is causing me atm...so Rob and I are thinking about heading out to Rome for a few days...part because we deserve a break ourselves and desperately want to go to Rome, but also part because it will be the distraction I need - other wise I'm going to end up worrying myself into a right mess!
All tips very welcome :) What are the Vesuvius tickets by the by?
