FF7 is the only one I've really played, and that one rocked. Took me about 32 hours to complete, but that's because I hate rushing games and spent loads of time breeding gold chocobos etc. Also I found it extremely amusing to go and play on the arcade machines (the submarine one was my favourite) everytime somebody said "We must hurry! If we don't act right away then the world will be destroyed!"
LOL. Yeah - I like just pottering in the game. I notched up over 100 hours on FF8, just pottering around, playing games and doing odd side quests. That's the fun in them...
It's weird, I've never gotten around to finishing FF7 or FF8. And I've never actually played any of FF9+. But I totally love the old ones, FF1-FF6. Were you a Nintendo kid, or did you start playing the FF games at FF7?
I just started up on Dragon Quest 5 today. Similarly have some catching up to do with that series, as I've only done the 8-bit NES DQ1-4...
