I did a 5k run today :) Not in the calmest fashion, I have to admit, but I finished. Now I hurt, so I think that's probably pretty much enough of that until past-partum.

Unless anyone wants to walk really slowly with me round the Race for Life ;)

I've been doing lots of knitting. I have, in fact, turned into knit-geek. There's a little shop in Chipping Sodbury that supplies me with my fixes, and the gentleman that runs it is like an elderly Timothy Spall. One day I'll post pictures of wonky bootees, as for some reason I'm inordinately into knitting.

I went to Tai Chi this week for the first time ever, and next week I'm off to Yoga classes with Ben and Liz. I'm really looking foward to it. And I had a lovely meal with my ex-flatmates, and everything is extremely warm and pleasant. I watch a lot of Scrubs, and even cook occasionally.

Yesterday, we spring-cleaned my mum's flat. Oh dear god! Blech. *shudder*

And Monday after tomorrow, I'm off to Edinburgh for a few days. Has anyone been there and can recommend things?

http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/ is the bestest website in the entire of the world and history of everything.

We only did a flying visit to Edinburgh. The castle we thought was okay, but pricey. English Heritage members get in half price in the first year and free in their second though - can't remember if you're a member.

If you go to Greyfriars, give Bobby's statue a pat from me - http://www.greyfriarsbobby.co.uk/

Well, there's one in Malvern on the 19th May, and one in Sutton Park in July. Do either of those appeal? I think my friend [personal profile] ninneviane's interested too, so we could all potter round the course :)

Hmm, can't do the May one, might be able to do July, depending on the date.
If you guys prefer the May one though, go ahead, as July already contains one trip to New York for training, so may be complicated anyway.

Ooo - training in New York!!! I got to go to Edinburgh in the rain...

We might go for the May one - the July one is cutting it a bit squeaky if I'm late dropping the sprog. I'll keep you informed though, and looking forward to seeing you in March. When / how are you getting down to Oxford?

Thanks for the offer, but it seems that the meeting is in the morning, so I'll be back home by tea time and can head off from there. I'm not sure what to bring - any tips or ideas? Also, I'm not entirely sure where I'm going, so do you still have the link for the cottage?

Bring what you like really. I'll try and send a mail out to remind everyone of where we're going and things and I'll say something on that about activities etc.

When and where is race for life? I would most definitely consider it - I can only go slow at the mo, even if I felt on the day like going faster :)

And good for you on the knitting - knitting *is* cool! :D Can't say I ever got good at it, and except for the booties, none of my monkeys ever wore anything I *did* complete, but that wasn't the point...I just enjoyed it, in a really chilled comfy way that I'm sure was very good for me! :)

There's one in Malvern in May, and on ein Sutton Park in July. I think a few of us might be up for going, and walking pretty slowly...

Keep me posted on this - which one are you thinking of doing?

Probably the Malvern one.

You still up for camping on 21st April, BTW?

Malvern sounds good, keep me posted about signing up times and stuff...leave it to me to remember and it will go out my head! :)

Yes, still up for camping - weather permitting. I say that because going on the way I'm feeling at the moment, getting too cold or damp wouldn't do me any favours right now as I don't fare to well in the damp anyway. Any idea who's up for it yet? And any ideas as to where we shall make camp?

Btw, forgot to say before..**d'oh**...congrats on finishing the race hun :)

I think it'll be Malvern - shall I mail you when I sign up and give you the link and things?

B and L are up for the camping thing. Maybe one or two other people. And probably in the Forest of Dean, or somewhere else near the Wye. Don't worry - if it turns ugly on the weather, we can just have a curry at my place or something instead.

I've always wanted to do Tai Chi.
I know that your little one will love all of his/her wonky booties made by mommy.
Scrubs is my very most beloved favorite show at the moment :D :D
