Mostly I don't even think about my ex. Until I find the cracks in the ceiling are at least partly caused by a huge roll of vile industrial carpet squirelled away in the loft. Natural Born Killers-style visions of my repeatedly kneeing him in the face yelling "who's the hoarder now, motherfucker" occasionally play across my mind's eye.

I'm having teh mega clearout, literally and emotionally. It's a good thing. My brother's worrying me - he had a massive freakout at me on the phone, and has decided (with lots of "encouragement") that the best way for him and Emily to really bond is to just spend all their time together. Every non-working waking moment, nobody else. They've not had any company for well over a month now, and spend their spare time getting drunk and bickering. None of my business, but oh-so-like a certain pair of parents we both share.

Anyway, have some long term goals:

- Clear out my room by the end of August
- Clear out my shed and greenhouse by the end of July
- finish my BTEC web course by the end of November
- Take my RHS course in February 2009
- apply for some new jobs by the end of January 2009

I've been slowly clearing things out for awhile now, but it'd be a lot easier if I didn't live with someone who likes keeping things just-in-case. Aging digital cameras don't get better with time, and I know someone in Quebec who'd happily take one, but I don't think he'll listen to that argument. So I just slowly weed out old lipgloss and magazines, and try to avoid acquiring more stuff. There's a rather large desk I want to get rid of entirely, so I can take my tiny one back, and replace his with this, since it lives in the guest room. No, it's not the cheapest, but our space is worth something too.

Your envelope still isn't here -- the one for sending to you I mean -- but there's a stash of stuff on our counter waiting for it.

What BTEC web course is that? Apologies if you've written about it at length in 24-point bold and I just wasn't paying enough attention. I'm wanting to do something vaguely academic and am scouting around for options...
