So how do you negotiate a trip to the Prodigy with a couple who just split up and have spent the rest of the weekend dividing the furniture and belongings that they went into hock for less than 6 months ago? Sucks that you split up, hope you enjoy the gig? Not say anything? Meh...not sure what to do on that one. Dreading it to be honest - having been through an amicable split myself, I know that there's no such thing, and certainly no such thing four days after the announcement.
The 405 died. Poor car :( Overheated on a trip down to Bristol, turned round to come home, heard a clunk and sploosh of oil on the road as the cam belt snapped three miles from home. Could have been a lot worse, but I'm sad as I formed quite an attachment to the old crate.
And the sprog had his first cock-fight last night. Went to the pub with chickens in the garden and he went to stroke the cockerel. Cockerel takes umbrage at this and starts flapping his wings in a stroppy fashion. Kid panics, tries to run away, and trips over his own feet. Cockerel then makes threatening pecking motions at prone wailing child while mommy re-enacts the bull scene from Withnail and I to rescue child. All fine in the end though.
