Finally uploaded some of my backlog of pictures:

My friend wrote a new application for making the index pages, so let me know if there are any teething troubles :)

Lovely! I think some of the watery ones are particularly good.

My thoughts exactly! You really have great talent with a camera! That and a very good eye.

Do you use a digital camera, in order to see right away what you've taken? Or did you just post only the nicest ones?

Wow, some really great pictures there! The 'Westonbirt Aboretum' ones are quite stunning, and I also really liked the hills in 'The English Lakes'.

And I finally know what that one pic you have on your page, and a LJ icon is! It's the one with the sunspot through the trees - when I just saw it small-scale, I thought it was some sort of thing with a planet with something twirling around it :D

And yeah, Octagon! ;)

Fantastic! I could spend way to much time pouring over them :)

Can I pass the link onto some on my LJ please...I think she'd enjoy them?

Thank you, Boglin. I was pretty chuffed with some of the ones in the Lake District, particularly the good reflections. And I liked your recent photo posts, BTW, I just didnt get around to commenting.

Thank you :) I use a digital camera about 90% of the time, and occasionally use my other camera and scan them in. What you see is about half the total number I take - the other half are trash or just weird little things that grabbed my fancy...mostly like the "octagon" picture, but less striking.

Glad you liked them - thanks :) I think there are a few of my photos in my user-pics.

Octagon!

Glad you liked them - thanks :) You can share them with who you like. Sometimes people use them for stuff, and then sending me an email is nice. Otherwise I just like it if people enjoy them :)

Ok, so now I have spent way too much time pouring over them...**grins**

OMG hun, these are really good, seriously...I'm awed truly :)

You know, a few brought I tear to my eye...**nods**
The one at Tintagel...**smiles**...wow!
I have such fond memories of that place, it's nice to see it captured like that :)

Thank you so much for sharing **hugs**

I looked but can't find which pic you mean by "octagon"...

Aww - I'm so glad you liked them, and you saw some places you know and love :) I'm hoping to get some more of Cornwall one day - I'm spending next Christmas in Tintagel! *bounce*

Ans seeing as you're someone who I know understands photography, now I'm all blushy and chuffed with myself *grins*

Yes, I read about Christmas in Tintagel...fantastic, I'm suitably envious! :)

Honestly hun, be chuffed with yourself...I wouldn't lie to you, these are wonderful images...truly outstanding. You're a very clever lady x

So long as you don't mind, I'm going to add the gallery to my links list :)

Heehee - thanks :) I've got a huge cheesy grin now. Of course you can put it in your links gallery - I love it when people look at them and get something out of them *beams* One day, I'd like to maybe earn a bit of a living from them, but I've no idea how to start, and I'm way too busy right now. I'm not sure though - I'm just happy with the photos :)

I was going to mention this in my last comm...

With a view to earning money off them (IMO for what it's worth I think you could), have you thought about approaching tourist boards, the national trust and orgs like that?
It's a place to start :)

Heheh - you've made me famous, I see :P

I think your idea about approaching people is a good one - I don't much want to get into a situation where I have to photograph to order. I'd rather try to sell them after I've taken them. I was kicking myself cos I saw one like this:

http://www.cybermule.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/photo/westonbirt/img_2161.xhtml

in the local paper, but not as good :p If I did it as a job, to order, I think I'd only do events like the medieval festival, rather than risking ruining the fun of taking nature photos.

Thanks, hun :)

I think you're right...it would be better to take them, and then approach someone...that's how I'd do it anyway. I'd lose my love and creativity if I was put under pressure to create to order :)
