Bleh bleh bleh
Jan. 16th, 2004 01:29 pmI feel tetchy. I can't believe that everyone's out to annoy me today, so it must be just one of those days where I'm over-sensitive to criticism :( And goddam it if I'm not a total klutz too :(( That's what happens when you have insomnia for ages, then finally get a good night's sleep.
Hopefully it can be soothed away with codeine, valerian* and a large vanilla milkshake :)
* UPDATE: fat chance - I choked on the valerian tablet and coughed mint tea all over my scribble pad.... *SIGH*

Date: 2004-01-19 10:05 am (UTC)Really? Hmm...I don't think so. I think I tried it out just because I was looking into ways to reduce anxiety. I guess it does sorta mellow you out a bit, and if you took it around bedtime, it would probably help you sleep better.
I guess I didn't get any more because I didn't think it did a ton while I was awake, and I don't really need any help to sleep (yes, yes, it's probably cruel to say to someone to suffers from insomnia, but it's true - if there's one thing I can do, it's sleep :D )
Also, it's supposed to taste really bad, and be attractive to cats, but I found neither to be true.

Date: 2004-01-20 12:17 pm (UTC)I might give the tea a try - I don't know if it's psychosomatic, but I seem to at least get a small effect. It doesn't taste bad, but my cat tries to fight me for the tablets. But saying that, she's a bit crazy :)

LOL - I don't mind at all! I'm glad you enjoy your sleep, and that you don't pace irritably all night. Heh, and that you don't claim to have insomnia when your average hours-per-night dips below 8.5 :D
