Watched spirited away, did mum stuff, ate thai food in a restaurant with bubbly fish lamps, found walking hat, uploaded photos.

Google has a Chinese New Year logo.

Off to North Devon to read a ton of books, hike and watch films at cheesy seaside cinemas that still have intermissions.

Heh didn't know such things ever existed. What I'd heard is that soon major movies are gonna have intermissions and commercials in the middle... Next logical step after adding commercials to the beginning which is the norm now. Let's see, I pay 10 bucks to sit and watch commercials FJDKJIJFhu2h3uaua38*H*#*H#H*@aflak32.f..... NO CARRIER

LOL that mythical goat was pretty funky!

Ya know I must say after seeing all these pics you've taken of the UK, it doesn't look too bad at all. It's definitely in the same league as Canada beauty-wise. Didn't think so when we last discussed it and we each thought our country was much prettier. :)

When I return to the UK, I definitely plan on hitting both Devon and Cornwall since I missed them on the last trip due to lack of time. Since I'll be in Somerset anyway, I figure a few more minutes to the south can't really hurt anything.

Or can it? *snatches walking hat and disappears into tho mists of Mohr*

Heh - sound Canadian? How so? I should probably defend Canada, seeing as we kind of own it or something ;)

That's just great - like there aren't enough ads at the beginning. I'm already boycotting Warner Bros on quality/cost ratio grounds - I don't want to have to completely stop watching movies at the cinema :(

Yeah - the mythical goats are the result of a big argument with my dad, who was convinced there weren't any. And thanks - I think Canada is more majestic, but I'm glad you think Britland can hold its own, cos I'm quite fond of parts of it.

Yeah - if you were into travelling Scotland or Ireland, the SW might not be worth the diversion (I've tried to persuade several US friends not to focus exclusively on Wales!). But as you're going to be in Somerset, definitely worth the extra travel. Bristol is also worth a stopover ;)

Yah I've pretty much stopped going to the cinema. The one time I went recently I was dumbfounded. There were like 5 regular TV-style commercials! When the fuck did this happen?

I can put up with getting movie ads (previews), but this is just ridiculous.

I guess you didn't get the memo. "eh?" is Canada-speak.

Ooo - do you have bacon wars with Denmark?

Re:

Yeah - I know what you mean. On average now, the ads seem to take up 30-40 minutes, and the greater part is TV-style ads. I don't actually mind film ads too much - sometimes they give me good ideas - but I do resent paying nearly 6 quid for a film and then being bombarded with commercial rubbish.

Eh? That could be confusing... ;)

I didn't get the memo - basically, if the memo didn't come via South Park, it's a memo on Canadians that I just didn't get. Believe me, I was qquite horrified to hear you used the queen's head on money!

Heh.

I'm pretty sure they must have mocked the "eh?" thing on South Park each and every time they mentioned Canadians on there... Though I wouldn't know for sure.

Umm... all our bacon comes from Denmark. It just gave me this mental image of long-range bacon-killing catapults firing across the north atlantic as the world's two biggest bacon giants slug it out.
