Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] quercus, I just found out about lots of neat sounding lectures in Bath, so I think I might be going along to this one about dream logs and the internet:

Wed 3 Mar Nick Gulliford "Belief through Dreams"

And talking of dreams...
Again, I woke up about half-way through my normal night's sleep, which seemed to conveniently split my dreams into two halves. The first half involved a trip to a theme-park (looked a little like Alton Towers, was probably due to mention of rollercoasters on INFP group). It was a hot sunny day, and I was slightly nervous about going on this water ride with a huge 100-foot drop (did I read about this on the rollercoaster database?). Unfortunately, I woke up before I actually got on the ride :(

The seconf part of the dream involved laboriusly repaving this beautiful mediterranean style courtyard. Possibly the more interesting dream psychologically if I knew what the hell it meant - it was hot, and there was no shade but for vines on the walls of the courtyard, and all I was doing was carefully lifting one small flagstone, cleaning it off and replacing it. Then I'd put in grouting and move on to the next flagstone.

Breakfast = plums. These don't taste very nice, which reminds me that I'm looking forward to growing more vegetables this year. Roll on the day when I become rich, and can have my own orchard :)

You and [livejournal.com profile] aras_55555 have got me wondering about finding such free lectures here. I'd never thought of that kind of thing before, but it's a great idea. And considering its size, Montreal has got to have such things happening, that I'm simply unaware of.

Heh you reminded me of a wicked roller-coaster dream. Searched my logs, and it was actually a lucid heh, my 10th, 11 months ago: On a sort of gigantic rollercoaster/slide, and I was consciously creating it while riding it, and forced myself to take a downward curve at extremely high speed. It sort of felt like it was a reverse sensation or reality, like I was riding the "ceiling" of it somehow, hard to explain.

Hmm. Shame Quercus isn't there, because I got tip-offs for a lot of good things from him. The other ideas I got from the local university, where they run a continuing education program for adults that has quite a spiffy range of courses.

Sounds uncannily like the "vertical drop" ride I went on last summer (IRL ;)). I'd got really over-psyched about it, but when I actually went on it, it kind of twisted gravity upside-down in a freaked manner. Must go on that again soon :)

I checked one of the two major universities here and there is nothing at all of interest to me, in February anyway. Still checking the other.

Heh maybe that's all the sensation was, basically so fast and pulling downwards that I felt like I would go flying upwards any second, if I wasn't tied down.

Peh! How far away is Toronto? I have no idea how your systems work over there, so I can't make any more suggestions - I guess I'm just lucky to have a couple of very good techy universities which are based in very artsy towns, so I guess they feel like they have to make an effort...

*nods* I actually felt like I was flying upwards... still haven't quite wrapped my head. If we both make the INFP meetup we'll have to try and track down something similar (http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery777.htm?Picture=9).

About 6 hours.

Yeah... I checked the other large university and they have much more frequent and interesting lectures, however still nothing I would go see. :/

try and track down something similar.

Heheh - yup. You get to hang face down over the hole for a second or two. Probably not a good moment to puke :D
