where does my weekend go?
Jun. 22nd, 2003 07:03 pmSunday evening already - bah!
The dayschool was quite good yesterday - mostly seminars on developmental linguistics. Not much interested in children, but it's still fairly interesting. Saw my tutor for the first time in ages, and he was really complimentary about my essays and stuff :D Even found the college straight away and wasn't too traumatised by the motorway driving. Crashed out and went to sleep really early, after half-watching "Maximum Overdrive" and watching half of "Vanilla Sky" 8P
Got up late today and restocked the cupboards, which were barren. Once I run out of tinned tomatoes, it's pretty bad news for my efforts to cook at home and Mr Pizza Magician gets many calls. Pottered around the garden for an hour, weeding and tidying up. I'm going to get some more gravel to cover the beds, as they get really dry and also look a bit crap. Plus I might indulge in a hose. Other than that, I'm mainly going to spend the rest of the year on maintenace and clearing up the crap, and leave any new work for next Spring. The plants are all looking good, so some time to bed in is probably a good plan.
I think I'll do some OU work this evening, and try to upload my pics from Lyme Regis and the British Museum. Maybe even find the rest of the info for that page I promised someone - 'twould be good to actually do that, rather than flaking out.
Have a fairly crappy week (month, even) ahead at work - I have to go to Liverpool, do a course in Plymouth and do seminar days at Bristol (twice), London Derby and Manchester. On the bright side, once this month is over there'll be noting to dread about work until next summer :)
OK - end of procrastination...
