I'm extremely spaced out! I didn't get the few hours of kip that I promised myself earlier, but I did do some of my OU work. And cooked a damn fine tea, especially being completely out of it *yawns*
Just spent some time faffing around with the HTML for new pages on my website, and decided my brain just wasn't functioning in logic mode. Had a look around for some potential theatre trips and discovered "As You Like It" at the RSC in Stratford. I fancy going out to the theatre, and this is one of my set texts for the course I might possibly maybe do next year. Hmmm... Just have to bully someone into going with me now :)
OK, considering I had about 10 hours sleep in the past 60 hours, I should feel pleased with my achievements. Think I'll head off to bed to read TV or watch a book....

Date: 2003-06-23 03:59 pm (UTC)I've had two hours since Saturday morning, and I'm just getting to the sicky spaced part. My ears went about an hour ago...I can hear things (music mainly atm) that Matt blatantly doesn't...and he's not deaf!
Sleep deprivation has some interesting side effects **grins**
Bizarrely...I too cooked a damn fine tea! **yay**

Date: 2003-06-26 11:24 am (UTC)I don't think I get smell hallucinations, but I do get auditory, and then visual. On one particularly bad stretch of insomnia, I kept seeing the figure of a man in my peripheral vision..it was very unnerving!

I used to get a guy in my peripheral vision a lot when I was a kid and we went on holiday to a certain place - it was the closest I've ever got to believing in ghosts!

Date: 2003-06-27 08:55 am (UTC)Whether they be a trick of my mind or not (and I don't care, things happen for a reason however it's interpreted), I see them and so long as I don't look directly at them I can observe them, they make me laugh...and I have always seen them...right since I was very very small...no shit.
But this man was quite un-nerving...
So where did you go on hol as a kid, have you ever been back there in recent years?

Date: 2003-06-28 06:12 am (UTC)I agree - although on the surface I'm a rational scientist, occasional things happen that I really can't explain and I have a deeply hidden belief in the supernatural, however you interpret it.
When I was a kid, we used to go and stay in a cottage in the Black Mountains. I haven't been back to the exact place, but I visit the general area quite a lot. I might go and find the cottage some day soon. I still go back to most of my childhood haunts - especially places like Ilfracombe. They bring back some good memories...

We used to holiday on the opposite coast when I was little, Exmouth specifically. It was lovely taking the kids there (4 years ago)...finding they fell in love and held special all the places I did as I child and for all the same reasons :)

LOL - I'll say! My BF is a diehard rationalist, so I try to smother my hippy leanings ;)
And yeah, North Devon is smashing. It must be nice to take kids back to old childhood places and see them get the magic too :D
