This was good. I think I probably enjoyed it more than the average bird book because firstly, a lot of it is local. Based around Bristol and the Avon Gorge in particular. Secondly because it covers a breadth of birds. The Peregrine is a work of art, but bordering on the uncomfortably obsessive to be honest. This is more human, lighter, with more air running through it.
So a good all round book on watching birds over a year, with good time depth.
