Over the years, I've stopped and started writing several times, so I understand. It's really a very personal and vulnerable expression to actually write from the heart rather than the commonly found sharing of humorous, angry, loving, and/or hateful memes. That, gets to be too easy and often insensitive for me and then I tend to shy away from it all. I've been on and off again in Facebook for very long stretches.
It's tough business being a parent, especially seeing what can happen. Your daughter will likely appreciate your willingness to "let her go" albeit with hesitation.
I'm glad to hear you've been way more sober. As I age, I see how drinking excessively changes who people are and it's seldom for the better.
