spirograph
You're a Spirograph!! You're pretty tripped out,
even though you've been known to be a bit
boring at times. You manage to serve your
purpose in life while expending hardly any
effort (and are probably stoned to the gills
all the while).

Oh, that is so cool. Much better than my results. My sister had one of those.

Yeah - I had one too. Call me simple-minded, but I didn't find it that boring at all, with the ability to make an endless parade of trippy patterns. It was quite mathematical too, in a small way.

Mind you, growing up in rural Gloucestershire did mean that you had to make your own entertainment!

Hehe, that reminds me of this bit in The Simpsons:

Bart checks the decrepit old Spirograph[tm] factory. A lone man plays
with a Spirograph on a slanted desk.

Bart: Yo, Dr. S: have you seen Milhouse today?
Dr. S: No.
Bart: OK, thanks. [starts to leave]
Dr. S: Wait: did you know that there's a direct correlation between the
decline of Spirograph and the rise in gang activity? Think about
it.
Bart: I will. [walks off]
Dr. S: No you won't. [goes back to drawing]

This is what I got...how dull. I don't want to be educational, I want to be dangerous and stuff ;)

speak and spell
You're a Speak & Spell!! You nerd, you. Just
because you were disguised as a toy doesn't
mean you weren't educational, you sneaky
bastard.

You're an Etch-a-Sketch!! You're the creative,
artsy type who doesn't need to actually utilize
a single muscle group in order to have fun.
Doesn't matter though, you're still cool.

*grin*

I always wanted one of those when I was a kid. My cousin had one, butthe knobs had fallen off so you had to jam knives in it and twiddle them to draw. Probably a health hazard ;0

Haha lucky you didn't get electrocuted...

I had one when I was a kid, and me or my sis lost it at the beach on a trip to Florida. I recall being pretty sad about it, quite funny come to think of it.

It's funny the things you remember from being a kid. I lost my favourite stuffed toy on the beach when I was about 18 months, and I still remember it. That's just about my earliest memory, so I guess it must have been traumatic.

Heh that's a pretty early memory, neat.

Sidenote:

LOL what just happened was too funny. As I typed in the box to reply to this message, everything was coming out backwards. Like this:

.taen ,yromem ylrae ytterp a s'taht heH

I was flipping out ROFL! I was hoping it would stay backwards when I sent the message but it kept spitting out "your message is blank blah blah". :P

All this was caused by opening the "yahoo web messenger", a popup window that was supposed to allow me to chat with you heh. Let's just say it borked my browser somewhat heh. Was fun though. Guess they didn't test their little Java applet in Mozilla Firefox. :P

LMFAO - I wish that comment had posted, just for posterity. That would have been such a neat comment to have in my journal.

And no, they probably didn't test it in Firefox. Or anything much other than Explorer. I'm just installing a different IM thing. Or maybe I could track you on IRC - there's a plan...!

IRC's not a bad idea if nothing works. I just connected, I'm in #aloof_socially on Undernet.
