... last weekend I went walking in the Brecon Beacons, and I totally forgot to update on that. I did a circular walk from Llanthony Abbey, coming back along the ridge behind the abbey, whose Welsh name currently escapes me. I saw merlins, and a leaning church. And a really familiar looking cabin on the side of the hill that I then realised I'd come and looked at when I was a kid.

Freaky.

Anyway, I didn't want those memories to disappear. So there they are.

And I'm still busy. Roll on the weekend...

Isn't it funny when you come across stuff from your childhood that you completely forgot about? Happens to me everyone once in a while, but not very often.

Yeah - definitely a really strange experience. I'd have probably remembered if pushed, but to just have some justification for deja vu was great!

Is that the place with a pub in the cellar ?

Last time I went walking that way it was a baking hot day and I was hallucinating huge grail-like pints of cold Guinness in the sky. It was wonderful to crawl into this dark shady room afterwards and quietly steam over a pint or two while I cooled down.

Sounds like it, although I didn't visit the pub. My curry hallucinations gained priority over my beer hallucinations, and I headed into Monmouth to satisfy both :)
