The clock in my office just went crazy, Evil Dead style. It just whizzed round and round for a few minutes, then stopped back at the right time.

I think we may be found guilty of commerce with the devil!

the clocks in the psych building are all sync'd up to the main electrical wiring through the walls, and at 7pm they all reset each other to the central clock in the basement. Any one that is off (either fast or slow) will rotate through a 12 hour cycle to get back in sync with the main clock, so for about 3 minutes every evening NOBODY knows what time it is and all the clocks are crazy. Makes you wonder who designed the thing... this is the PSYCHOLOGY building, after all!

Ahh - that could explain it, I guess. Either that or the trapped and tortured souls of civil servants.

I have one that does that. Is it radio controlled from the Rugby transmitter?

Dunno. I might go and ask. Some sort of central control is the most likely (albeit dull) answer.

It's the heat, I tell you, this damnable heat.

*mops neck & brow with hanky, refuses to loosen tie or collar*

If only it were a dry heat. Or a damp heat. whichever one it's not, dammit.

Boy, more Pimms!

It's a dry heat, with damp waves. Of course, pith helmets aren't what they used to be. Back in the older days, when people took the pith properly out of the trees...

*drunken heat-addled mumble*
