Isn't Nepal a bit hazardous these days? I don't think there's much increased risk, but they're keeping the tourists close to the established trail.

I saw Andy the gardener tonight and he didn't rate any courses particularly highly but suggested just getting the various relevant books by Hessayon (those Expert ones), going out and getting your hands dirty.

It seems to be OK as long as you stick to the established tourist routes, and go as part of a group. I'd really love to go, and I don't think it's ever going to be perfect over there, so I might well risk it.

Thanks for the book tips, from your friend. Books are better than courses anyway - no icebreakers or nutters.
