I had a brilliant day, despite the heat, but unfortunately I'm too knackered to update properly. I did take some good photos though and enjoyed pottering around my homelands:

Look mommy - it's the Shire! My short stature, hairy feet and love of fine food and wine are all suddenly explained :P I'll do a proper update tomorrow some time *yawns*

Blech - they're quite blocky and, like I said, I look like a bloody hippy ;P I think one of my LJ icons is a photo, but I can't remember so it shows how often I use that one.

Of hippy hobbits.. I always just what that so called 'pipweed' was!

The Stroud Valleys are probably th ebest place outside Amsterdam to find out! I'm not sure what it is in the book, but in the film I remember Saruman implying that it might addle your brains. Can't remember if that's in the book as well...

I dunno how the hobbits got pipeweed to grow in the Shire, which is little England... when its so damn difficult to grow decent tobacco here! At least, according to my dad and his allotment mates who tried for some years :)

Yeah - people kept wanting to see/download photos, and I had the extra webspace, so it was a handy way to transfer and back up my pics.

Yeah - rather than trying to avoid things that I can't change (i.e. being clumsy and vague), I try to develop coping mechanisms (i.e. removing sensitive items from near me).
