Friday update

cybermuleI'm not dead - just juggling too many things. I think I'll probably just be doing occasional updates for a while.
Today has turned into a total non-starter at work. I have no motivation, and I keep getting disturbed in what I'm doing, with the net result that I have done nearly nothing.
One thing I did do, though, was to get my manager to agree to sponsoring me for a BTEC certificate in web development. Maybe even the diploma. He also agreed to my getting involved in providing training packages to new starters in our department, which was something I was vaguely fondling as an idea for a future business.
I'm actually quite happy. Just very very busy. I think I'll set myself one short but vital task for the day, then slope off home.
