Must be getting fitter, as I seemed to manage a 12 mile walk yesterday with no ill effects. Although we did stop for a refuel at the Rose and Crown in Nympsfield, which does really delicious veggy soup.
Also suffered no ill effects from drinking from a cow trough, which is more remarkable really. Although, saying that, I have an unusually hardy approach to germs, and tend to blame over-sanitisation for most modern ills.
Other things I did at the weekend were mainly sleeping and drinking. Both of which were done to satisfaction.

Date: 2006-03-20 04:38 pm (UTC)I'm glad Utah sounds do-able - I walk quite slowly, but can do so for miles. But my ex was a nut who managed about 4 miles per hour over any terrain, whereas I manage about 2mph. Snacking breaks are good - you need little and often when you're on the big hikes. And I can do wonders with dried soya and stir-in sauces :)
I'll look forward to hearing about the tickets soon!

Date: 2006-04-03 02:22 pm (UTC)I think we were aiming to go to Zion for the first weekend, and do some short hikes. And don't worry - I walk for miles, but only at the speed of a tomato coloured snail.
I'll mail you in the next day or so :)
