Eee - what a busy weekend

cybermuleSo, Friday night, 0ct0pus and I headed over to Pontypridd for him to play a gig (which was rather good - people played "air keyboard">, and then to watch the Ukelele Orchestra of Britain, who were also rather good. Much better than I expected, actually - rather like Rich Hall with a bunch of ukelele. Funny and talented.
We then went and crashed out at a lovely Welsh hotel, up in the hills. It was a shame we didn't stay longer, really - we just got in, slept, ate breakfast and then had to check out. At which point we headed home rather than went camping, as it was raining and we were shattered. Ppontypridd is rather nice, though. Although it's ugly, it reminds me of the town I grew up in, some time around the early 80s.
I think I spent the rest of the day sleeping, to be honest. I can't really remember much, except a random trip to Swindon, having a drink in a posh pub near Tetbury, and sending off a quote for some database work which later got accepted. Yay. Anyway, that would seem to indicate that I spent the greater part of the day asleep.
Next day, got up reasonably early, and headed off to the Malverns with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
0c0tpus for some hiking, just to check we could actually stagger around reasonably effectively with our backpacks. Which we could. My brother cancelled at the last possible minute for out night out (*sigh*) so we went home, ate Thai from our local (delicious), watched Chicken run, did another quote, ate pizza, and went to bed for more sleep.
And Monday, I longed around in bed reading for *hours*, then had a sudden burst of energy, went to the garden centre, covered all my lawn in weed suppressing membrane, and0ct0pus put my greenhouse together. So my garden looks 100% better. If not more. Fantastic.
And then we pigged out on BBQ and watched the Wicker Man. Rather startled that my BBQ worked, so Joust-barbeque plan is all go!
