It's red and full of Mormons! That might just say it all. It's pretty, and people are generally very nice, but it does feel odd not having several (or any) children when everyone else does.
Have fun, at least it's cooler there than here (AZ). Oh, and enjoy the trashy bits of American culture too. You should visit a Wal-Mart (they're HUGE), and buy strange patriotic candy, regardless of things you may have heard to the contrary.
It's WAY hotter here (generally 110-120 during the days, May-September), so maybe it's just as well you didn't go so far south. Still, I like all the red rocks, and I'm sort of glad I don't have to deal with so many children. Even the ones in the grocery store today made me nervous.
